What to Look for in a Protein Bar

The supplement industry is growing ever day. There are thousands upon thousands of products to choose from. I have been getting a lot of questions recently regarding which protein bars are the best.

The truth is not one bar is "better" than another. This is because since we are all different we require different things from a supplementary product such as the protein bar. Some of us are trying to gain mass or weight while some of us are trying to lean out or lose weight. Some of us just need a little more protein in our diets. While athletes may want a bar that will give them lots of energy.

If healthy weight loss is your goal it is a good idea to find a protein bar that is:

Low in Fat
High in Protein
Low in Carbohydrates
Low in Sugar
Low in Calories

If you are looking at a bar for a meal replacement you want to make sure that there is sufficient:

Protein
Carbohydrates
Calories
Nutrients such as Vitamin B's, C's etc
